Breeding Aims

We aim to breed

  • a big heavy , easy care ,dual purpose , self replacing sheep that will produce a heavy stylish fleece of soft and well crimped wool, and a profitable meaty lamb
  • Performance tested stud sires to ensure predictable breeding performance
  • A self relacing attribute that eliminates the concern of heath risks associated with having to constantly buy in replacement ewes
  • Lambs can be marketed as suckers or old lambs with good carcase weights.
  • Excess ewes are keenly sought after for joining to both Bond and Terminal Sires
  • Excellent returns for C.F.A.ewes in the market for slaughter
  • We believe that the above features of the Almondvale Polls create a sheep that will return you a good bottom line to your livestock enterprise.
